End-User License Agreement (EULA)

This End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Ayush Singh ("we", "us") and governs your installation and use of the Thred desktop application (the "App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to this Agreement.

The App is licensed under the MIT License. The MIT License governs the software code. This EULA covers usage terms that apply in addition to the MIT License.

1. License grant

Subject to the MIT License, you are free to install, use, modify, and distribute the App in accordance with the MIT License terms. This Agreement covers your use of the compiled application.

2. Local data & your responsibility

The App stores your data (sessions, vaults, notes, settings) locally on your device. You are responsible for your own data, backups, and device security. We have no access to and cannot recover your local data.

3. Third-party services

The App loads third-party AI services in isolated webviews. We do not provide those services and are not responsible for them. Your use of each is governed by that provider's terms. You are responsible for complying with their usage limits and policies.

4. Restrictions

You may not use the App to violate any law or third-party rights. You may not use the App to abuse or circumvent the usage policies of any third-party AI service.

5. Updates

Updates are released manually. Check the GitHub releases page for new versions.

6. Disclaimer of warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR DATA LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Termination

This Agreement ends automatically if you breach it. On termination, you must stop using and uninstall the App. Your rights under the MIT License are governed by that license.

9. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India.
